The monograph is a study of the laws of Osip Mandelstam's poetic semantics in the light of his philosophical and aesthetic ideas about words and works of art. The work demonstrates the correlation of the principles of Mandelstam’s poetic semantics with his linguo-philosophical picture of the world; the patterns and fundamental principles of Mandelstam’s poetic semantics have been identified; the role of micro- and macro-context, as well as intertext in the formation and expansion of lexical meanings both at the syntagmatic and paradigmatic levels of the text is determined.
