It was these memories that L. N. Tolstoy used when he described the Battle of Borodino in War and Peace. In Russia, these memoirs were published at the beginning of the 20th century with significant abbreviations and were republished several times - all in the same truncated form. "Zakharov" presents the first complete edition of the legendary book.
