The novel “Paris” takes the reader into the atmosphere of the late 70s – early 80s. Only we are not talking about Paris as a geographical object. The young heroine of the novel, Tanya Chudinova, on whose behalf the story is told, feels like an adult, unlike others. This angers her parents: her father, an officer of the mysterious KGB, who considers himself “not an ordinary mortal,” and her mother, an unhappy woman who does not know love and cannot give it to her loved ones. The mistrust, misunderstanding and violence that reigns in the Chudinov family contributes to the fact that the girl invents an inner world, “Paris”, where she can escape and where harmony and fun play reign. A meeting with Alyosha, in whom the heroine recognizes “one of her own,” love for him, and then the sudden disappearance of the boy, gives rise to rebellion in Tanya’s soul. Paris is a novel about how a special child finds his true self in a world of violence. The novel is generously flavored with details of everyday life during the stagnation, as well as school folklore and will be of interest to everyone who was born and raised in the twilight of the USSR.
