On the planet Lienna, with the help of the Intergalactic Alliance, the civilization of the lost Uyloan Empire has been recreated. Laon, a young historian from a wealthy family, enters into an unequal marriage, breaks with his family, and after the early death of his wife, he raises his only daughter, wanting to turn the “girl from the lighthouse” into a learned lady with impeccable manners. Society gradually accepts both, but father and daughter feel like strangers in a world of strict class boundaries. Fate draws them further and further, to other worlds, where completely extraordinary encounters await them. The novel can be read as an independent work, but at the same time it is an addition to the space opera "Keeper" and is plot-related to the third book ("Double Ring").
