If there is one thing that Christians know about their religion: it is that it is definitely not Judaism, and there is one thing that Jews know about their religion: that it is definitely not Christianity. Another thing is that both groups know that Christians believe in the Trinity and the incarnation of Christ (Greek translation of the word Messiah) and Jews do not, and that Jews keep kosher and Christians do not. If only it were that simple. In this book I am going to tell a very different story, a story about a time when Jews and Christians were much more mixed up with each other than they are now, when there were many Jews who believed in something similar to the Father and the Son and even something similar on the incarnation of the Son-Messiah, and when the Jews, followers of Jesus, kept kosher, and accordingly about the times in which the question of the difference between Judaism and Christianity simply did not exist, as it does now
