We, Belarusians, have restored our ancient statehood and are confidently moving into the future. The idea that our state cannot be truly sovereign if it uses foreign historical concepts is becoming popular in society. In this book, the events of national history are shown from a national point of view.

The main advantage of the book is that the author was able to talk about all the most important events that took place in the territory of settlement of the Belarusian ethnic group over 12 centuries. His story begins with the emergence of ancient tribes and ends with the declaration of independence of Belarus. At the same time, the author refutes many myths and misconceptions that are widespread both in the mass consciousness and in modern historiography.
