The irrepressible greed, materialism and lack of spirituality of people are causing a worldwide economic collapse, and the Earth is plunging into poverty and lawlessness. The orders and morals of fascist concentration camps reign everywhere. Orphan Arina works for a meager ration in the state archives of St. Petersburg, where she transcribes surviving films and audio recordings into text. One day, a strange old man comes to her and asks her to secretly transcribe some old audio tapes. They preserved the revelations of a long-dead patient in a psychiatric hospital. The visitor explains to Arina that these records contain the key to the salvation of humanity. Arina begins to listen to tape after tape, and a terrible picture of people being captured by eidos - the souls of things - opens up to her. But to find the key to salvation, the girl first has to go through the seven circles of hell...
