From the author: Hello everyone!    The beginning of this work was the trilogy of stories I wrote, Stalker. Later completely reworked and combined into “Stalker. Last Report”. The resulting unification of stories only benefited the presentation of those events, and the titles of previously independent stories have now become chapters of a monolithic history.    My goal was not to imitate a famous game or movie. This presentation will contain no more than 10% of the total events, and maybe even less (I didn’t count). The name of the trilogy "Stalker. The Last Report" has two reasons:    Firstly, to make fun of the magazine "Gaming" in which, in anticipation of the game "Stalker. Shadow of Chernobyl" (about a year before the release), the column "Stalker. The Last Countdown" appeared . In which the creators of the magazine, showing tempting videos from the supposedly finished game, promised its release almost tomorrow.    ...And so on for a year. Years of arrogant promises and selfish lies.    As you can see, the difference in the names is just one letter, but this is quite enough to change the entire meaning.    But it’s not just irony alone that people are fed up with. It would be quite stupid to call a series of stories that way just based on these events. Therefore, irony is only one side of the coin and perhaps not the brightest, but in order not to debunk the meaning and course of events of the stories and to understand what, perhaps, was the root cause of the title, for this you will have to read all three chapters.    Author: Pavel M.
