Nikolai Rubtsov is one of the most famous lyric poets of the second half of the twentieth century. The special, kind of musical charm of his poems was repeatedly noted by his contemporaries. Perhaps it was precisely thanks to this musicality that many of Rubtsov’s poems became famous songs (“I will ride a bicycle for a long time...”, “In moments of sad music...”, “It’s light in my upper room...” and others). Rubtsov's poetry is distinguished by its sincerity, a sense of love for Russia, and the richness and variety of poetic forms. It is not for nothing that in the preface to his first book Rubtsov wrote: “In life and poetry, I cannot calmly tolerate any falsehood if I feel it.” This edition includes all the most famous poems of Nikolai Rubtsov.
