This book is dedicated to the traditions, customs, beliefs and signs associated with Easter, the most beloved national holiday, rightfully considered the triumph of celebrations, when “the Russian soul seems to dissolve and soften in the warm rays of Christ’s love,” and with Krasnaya Gorka, an ancient Russian folk spring holiday, a holiday of youth, the first spring celebration of girls, a holiday that, as a rule, coincided with weddings. In preparing the publication, works (including hard-to-find ones) of a number of major domestic researchers, such as I. Snegirev, S. Maksimov, I. Sakharov, A. Korinfsky and others were used.
