Ksenia Buksha was born in 1983 in Leningrad. Graduated from the Faculty of Economics of St. Petersburg State University, worked as a journalist, copywriter, and translator. She started writing at the age of fourteen. The author of the book “The Life of Mr. Hashim Mansurov”, a collection of short stories “We Live Wrong”, a biography of Kazimir Malevich, as well as the novel “The Freedom Factory”, which was awarded the National Bestseller Award. The country’s holiday is the coronation of the Tsar. Thousands of people came to Ostrovki, ten of them were unable to pass through the frame. Not knowing each other, they find themselves locked for a day in a cell in the Ostrovets Kremlin “until the circumstances are clarified.” And here, in a confined space, not only their characters appear, but also the face of the country in which we already live. The novel “Frame” is a defiant socio-political satire, so bold and frank that it is impossible not to notice it. It seems to ring itself, passing through the frame of the reader's attention. Not normal and not comfortable, but funny to the point of bringing bitter tears - prose about what has already become the norm.
