This anthology demonstrates, on the basis of canonical and patristic texts, the divinely established hierarchical order in the Orthodox Church; The composition includes works by church writers of the pre-Nicene period and the era of the Ecumenical Councils, exposing errors directed against the church hierarchy due to a misunderstanding of the nature of the Church and the norms of Christian life in it.
