The stories, presented in a light humorous tone, although sometimes with satirical notes, especially noticeable, perhaps, in inappropriate authorial digressions, tell about the incidents that happened to a group of friends, consisting of the resilient circus chimpanzee Homo, a great lover of his own silly songs, the strict and powerful dog Sergeant, the flirtatious beauty Mura, the sociable but overly inquisitive Rat, the important and smug Kok, his pretentious but thrifty wife Tsypa and the wise old Raven. By chance, driven by hunger and bad weather, they all became friends, thanks to being forced to live together in a common shelter under the roof of an old abandoned house. This pushed them to various adventures. Some of their character traits are easily recognizable in our acquaintances and in the acquaintances of our acquaintances, that is, in ourselves. The stories are told for children and their parents and are designed for the modern, too high, according to Raven, average level of literacy, erudition, kindness and sense of humor with the secret intention of their further promotion.
