The Reader is an addition to the textbook "Ancient Rus' in the Light of Foreign Sources". The first volume of the five-volume edition "Ancient Rus' in the Light of Foreign Sources: Reader" contains ancient - Greek and Latin - sources on the history of Eastern Europe, starting with Homer ( VIII-VII centuries BC) and ending with Jordan and Ravenna Anonymous (VII century AD). Thus, the continuous literary tradition describing the tribes and peoples of the Northern Black Sea region dates back almost fifteen centuries. The book contains fragments of works of various genres.
