There they met mermaids, brave Indians, a mischievous fairy and even pirates with their evil leader Captain Hook, whose fate will be in the hands of a flying boy. And here exciting adventures await the heroes. Note: The author himself and foreign publishers defined James Barry's book as a novel. In domestic book publishing, it is defined as a fairy tale. In 1918, the story was first published in Russian in a translation by L. Bubnova. In 1968, a translation by Nina Demurova, quite close to the original text, was published, which is already considered a “classic” and is being republished to this day day (reprints sometimes lack information about the translator of the poems D.
