The book includes the author's account of the history of the organization and implementation of the move of a group of Russian political emigrants led by V.I. Lenin from Switzerland through Germany to Russia, as well as a number of documents related to this case, and the memories of some participants in the move. The author of the book, F. Platten, a Swiss communist, a well-known figure in the international communist movement, was one of the organizers of this move and accompanied the group to the Russian border. For more than 60 years, this book was in a special fund and was not available to the general reader. This edition additionally includes letters from F. Platten from the camp.
