It’s the same in literature - there are topics that are impossible to tear yourself away from, they attract attention and paralyze attention. Irina Muravyova addresses one of these topics in the story “The Biography of the Sinner Adela,” which was unexpected for her previous style. The woman, who in her early youth passed through the ghetto, did not develop fear in her soul and did not extract from her consciousness the timid habit of obedience, on the contrary: she found herself filled with some kind of almost dazzling vitality. The talent of the operetta actress is nothing more than a weak reflection of her extraordinary talent in life, as bright as it is evil, and petty as much as it is generous. Adela's character is almost a forbidden character, because if such a character were allowed to spread on earth, our entire existence on it would consist exclusively of victims, of passions and the desire for revenge.
