They sow intelligence in the Universe, they preserve and protect it, but there are also adepts of destruction among them. The Eskis are endowed with the powers of demigods, they have their own laws, but they remain the people they once were. People with all their passions - the thirst for power, the craving for freedom, the sense of duty and love. And war remains war - no matter whether it is fought with clubs, swords, atomic bombs or killing spells. The Eskis walk along the Roads of the Worlds, and traces of their deeds remain in the destinies of many Young Races, including the fate of humanity on Earth.
