12-year-old Iris has very few friends. And this is understandable: Iris is deaf from birth, and it is incredibly difficult for her to communicate with others - some simply do not know sign language, some are too obsessive in their desire to communicate with Iris, and some are annoyed by her not always being “correct” behavior.
