Young Conan escapes from slavery. For two days he fled south, exhausted by hunger, cold and fatigue, and the wolves pursued him on his heels, not allowing him to stop. Conan gets to the rock, climbs into the opening between the rocks, and now he is in a dark cave. Having searched for leaves and rotten boards in the darkness, Conan makes a fire and, in the light of the flame, sees a dead man sitting on a throne. A sword lay across his bony knees. Conan took the sword, cleaned it, tested it in his hand, when suddenly... turning around at a rustling sound from the direction of the throne, Conan saw something that, like nothing else, caused fear and superstitious horror in him - the dead man came to life...
