The old sea wolf Christopher Bonifatievich Vrungel decided one day to shake off the old days and go on a trip around the world on the yacht “Victory”. Taking senior mate Lom into the crew, Vrungel set out to sea. Within a couple of minutes after sailing, the yacht changed its name to “Trouble,” having lost two letters of the name. And this was only the beginning of the incredible adventures of Vrungel, Lom and their new companion, sailor Fuchs. Munchausen never dreamed of this - herding herring, treating a whale for a cold, impersonating Hawaiians, flying a kite and fighting a python with a fire extinguisher! By sea and by land, through the equator, jungle and ice, through arrogant capitalist Europe, hot Africa and colorful America, they will have to go to complete their great journey. The story ironically plays on books about sailors, popular in The 30s, and Soviet stereotypes about the West. The name Vrungel has become a household name, almost like the name of Baron Munchausen.
