“Politics is history in action.” These were the words of Adolf Hitler in his untitled, unpublished and long-hidden second work, written just a few years after the publication of Mein Kampf. Only two copies of the 200-page manuscript were originally made, and only one of them was made public. Kept a closely guarded secret on Hitler's orders, the document was placed in a bomb shelter in 1935, where it remained until discovered by an American officer in 1945. Written in 1928, the book was verified for authenticity by Josef Berg (formerly of the Nazi publishing house Eher Verlag) and Telford Taylor. (former Brigadier General of the U.S.A.R. and Chief Counsel at the Nuremberg Trials), who, after an analysis carried out in 1961, commented: "If Hitler's 1928 book is read against the backdrop of the past, it should interest not only scholars, but also a wide range of readers." .
