Vango is a young man without a past. He grew up on an island near Sicily, speaks several languages fluently, but knows nothing about himself or his family. He longs to reveal the secret of his birth and forever get rid of the fear of pursuit, which has been familiar to him since childhood. To do this, he must find the one who killed his parents - now Vango even knows his name. The young man faces a very dangerous journey, because a real villain is on his trail - the murderer and arms dealer Viktor Volk. Vango is also being pursued by Joseph Stalin’s people, who are ordered to deal with him at all costs. In order not to expose Ethel to mortal danger, who is ready to follow Vango to the ends of the earth, the young man leaves her during the next stop of the Graf Zeppelin airship, on which they flew together for twenty days and were so happy. The year is 1929, in a few years Adolf Hitler will come to power, and Europe will never be the same. Will Vango be able to save himself and those dear to him? Is he destined to see Ethel again? The young man sets out on a long journey so that a decade later he can finally reveal the secret that his past holds. In 2010–2011, after the worldwide success of the fantasy Toby Lolness, the French writer Timothée de Fombelles released the teenage novel Vango, which critics immediately called the best of the best. In France alone, the book sold over 100 thousand copies. “Vango” is the first joint project of the publishing houses “CompassGid” and “Samokat”, which united specifically to present this exciting book to the Russian reader. In 2014, the first part of the two-volume series, “Between Heaven and Earth,” was published. “The Prince Without a Kingdom” is the second and final volume of the adventure epic “Vango” by Timothée de Fombelle.
