The book, consisting of twenty interconnected short stories, is kept in the best traditions of modern prose - with the difference that in it the message is of much greater importance than the extravagance of forms of expression and the sophistication of the author's language. From the title it is not difficult to guess what formed the basis of its plot - if it is appropriate to use this word here (for there is no classic plot here - I believe, the author’s tribute to the traditions of the beatniks). Moreover, booze, “substances,” rave, sex, moneyless wanderings through cities and vast expanses - in other words, Russian generation X trash: all this is not the main subject of the work. Behind the hangover-free (or, on the contrary, those who have taken on beyond all norms) drug-drunk faces hide sincere, lyrical, thirsty people for the unknown real life, who, for a number of reasons, are forced to toil in the emptiness of modernity, devoid of the necessary meaning, and struggle with the pressure of the surrounding reality - through all those or destructive substances. The search for a way out of a vicious circle is likened to the search for the Grail: no matter how noble the goal, the chances are just as slim.P.S.
