A young man, Sergei Maryaninov, witnesses a terrible traffic accident in which a young family dies under the wheels of a prestigious foreign car. The driver of the expensive car is the son of the Deputy Governor, an influential government official. Feeling compassion, genuine interest, and in anticipation of a fair trial, Sergei follows the woman who survived the disaster, and after a while, the son of a regional official, who was released on bail, through whose fault the accident occurred... Expensive lawyers are falling apart in a high-profile criminal case. And soon the car killer leaves the court. Maryaninov decides to personally restore justice, but first, he plans a daring attack on the official’s son in order to get closer to him. As a result of an unsuccessful attempt, both end up in hospital beds in different hospitals. But the “major’s” father intervenes. Quite unexpectedly, Sergei becomes a hero, and goodness must be rewarded... Their acquaintance turns out to be a pass for Sergei into the brutal and vicious world of the “golden” youth. Finding himself in a bright and cruel world, in a world of expensive entertainment, drugs, social gossip and sexual madness, Sergei realizes that this world is dragging him in. He likes him. Because it is in this night world, among the bright lights of the illumination, that he meets, as it seems to him, his true love. In a difficult relationship with himself, with his conscience, justice, and revenge, faced with a difficult choice - to take revenge or not, he tries to sort it out and find the only and rational fair way out. What to choose: an eye for an “alien” eye... A tooth for a tooth... Or a world of vice and pleasure... How to choose? Who to be?
