Lisa Hawley's life was going wonderfully. She met her future husband in high school, they got married, graduated from university; Erich had a brilliant career, and Lisa bore him two children. But, alas, the feelings faded away. They were not destined to live happily ever after. Now the children have long grown up and left, and she devoted herself entirely to work, became the owner of a fashion boutique on her home island of Nantucket. Only her beloved house needs renovation. Lisa contacts Mac Whitney, a local contractor. A spark runs between them, and Lisa thinks that she will finally be able to trust a man again. The only problem is that Mac is ten years younger than her. As if by agreement, Theo and Juliet return for the summer. Each of them brings home their own baggage of failures, disappointments and fears. They worry about their mother, fearing that Mac might break her heart. The residents of Nantucket Island will experience a summer full of surprises, hope and love.
