Karin Moret wrote a book based on real facts. The story reflects events in the life of the Danilevsky family during the persecution of Christians in the USSR. Christians were then called Baptists or Stunds. The authorities brutally persecuted these intrepid Christians. The more believers there are preaching about love for one's neighbor, about humility, about patience and about heaven, the less chance there is of building the earthly paradise promised by the communists! Christians did not want to fight for such a paradise, and therefore they had to be removed from the road! Many Christians were arrested and imprisoned in camps and prisons. Many Bibles were confiscated. Christians were tortured in every possible way. Their meetings were constantly broken up. Believers were subject to heavy fines.
