End of the 12th century. In Illyria, Duke Orsino dies under suspicious circumstances. The jester Festa, a secret agent of the guild of jesters, becomes aware of this. It was thanks to his efforts that fifteen years ago state affairs in Illyria were arranged in the best possible way. Feste decides to return to the city of Orsino to investigate the murder. His main suspect immediately becomes Malvolio, who at one time swore revenge on everyone who laughed at him. However, Malvolio is hiding under someone else's guise, and finding him is not easy. Having made the main character of his book one of the characters from Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night, or Whatever, Alan Gordon created a wonderful epic full of humor about the adventures of the jester detective.
