Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov was not only a special poet, but also a personality of outstanding magnitude. A person whose family had Scottish roots. Maxim Privezentsev decided to explore the origins of the family, the place where the poet’s ancestors lived many centuries ago. He went on a motorcycle trip to Scotland. Maxim is trying to find the answer to the questions: could Lermontov radically change his life if he ended up in Scotland? What would have happened to Lermontov if he had been in the mountains of Scotland in 1841, and not the Caucasus? In parallel, the book develops a plot that reveals the main events in Lermontov’s life, leading Lermontov to a fatal denouement.
