The work of the famous British naval historian is devoted to the events of the First World War. Quite concisely - in one volume - and at the same time, the author describes combat operations at sea in 1914–1918 quite reliably. For the Englishman H.R. Wilson's greatest interest, of course, is in the operations of the British fleet and its confrontation with the German Navy. However, attention is also paid to the operations of the fleets of other countries that took part in the war. The book will be of interest to all lovers of naval history; it is not without reason that it was republished three times in our country in the thirties.
