The sixth novel by the popular English author David Dickinson takes place in Russia. On a cold December morning in 1904 in St. Petersburg, on Nevsky Prospect, the body of the English diplomat Roderick Martin, who arrived in the Russian capital on a secret mission, was discovered. Unknown attackers killed the Englishman by mercilessly cutting his throat. The investigation of the crime, as always in such complex cases, and even fraught with international complications, is entrusted to a London detective, Lord Powerscourt. The English aristocrat will overcome all the machinations of his enemies with honor and dignity, although the matter will not be easy. The detective will have to meet with the Tsar, visit the offices of the Okhrana, communicate with charming Russian beauties, and, of course, reveal all the secrets of the terrible crime.
