Sometimes life can be cruel, but when you close one door, it always opens new ones. Lelka and her parents came to visit her aunt in the village for the holidays. Who knew that everything would soon change. My parents were gone, my cousin turned from a friend into a real enemy, and it also turned out that they, non-humans, were living next to people. For them, people are often an enemy, occasionally a patron, never a friend, and always food. Lelka learns to live in this suddenly complicated world, making friends, meeting enemies and defending her life and freedom.

Author's notes: P.S. Despite the prologue, this is not Slavic fantasy. The genre is closer to urban. although the action takes place mainly in the village. What to do if the “rural fantasy” genre doesn’t exist yet. The action takes place in our time, in our world, in which, however, everything is not what it seems.
