This is a rebellious, philosophical and adventure novel about people of the spirit. In a lively, exciting and often humorous form, the heroes of the story, going through numerous trials and adventures, try to find themselves and find the meaning of life. They will have to discover that all this can be found in our reality; for this it is not at all necessary to escape into the world of fantasy, flying saucers or laser swords. The action takes place in the English countryside in the mid-90s of the XX century. In the center of the story is a boy who, from childhood, was kept behind a high fence by his parents, fed with drugs, restricted in his freedom, and generally wanted their child to become a successful average person, like themselves. But soon John—that’s the main character’s name—goes to college and meets his classmate Walter. And he opens up a whole new universe for him, filled with the music of the Beatles, Kinks, Pink Floyd, ideas of the 60s, as well as Tolkien’s books. John has an unprecedented rise, a spiritual awakening. Walter, meanwhile, introduces him to his friend Anna and her mother, Aunt Jenny - wise and sublime, like - it’s scary to even say (if only in a whisper) Galadriel. This is where it all begins. Together (plus new heroes) they decide to revive the human spirit and act in accordance with the task. And everything would be fine and fun, but later the thread of the story abruptly changes direction, and now John will have to resist almost alone... but let’s not tell everything at once. What John has discovered must withstand the harsh test of reality.
