A few seconds have passed since you opened this file. But during these moments you managed to feel several different types of emotions. Boredom, surprise, interest. Naturally, all this is purely individual for each person. But this is where the main meaning of my novel begins. The variability and adaptability of human nature. Starting from psychological aspects and ending with physical ones. The main character of the novel “The Guide”, Alexey Lavrov, goes through a long journey of self-knowledge and understanding the truth and root cause of many of the actions of the people of his world. Possessing the ability to open portals between remote points in space, he uses it to make his own life easier. But his carefree existence comes to an end when once again the “secret” takes him not to the usual place of his hometown, but to a parallel universe. This is how his long journey home begins, during which he completely changes as a person. Description: The action always takes place in the same city (which takes place in our reality), but its reflections in other worlds are fundamentally different from its prototype. For example, a world where religion has a central place in the government of the country. And every person is a fanatic ready to give his life in the name of faith. A reality where everything is so similar to the Russia we are used to, with only one exception, half of the territory of our country is occupied by Ukraine and the remnants of the Russian Empire. And in state security, werewolves rule, and not “in uniform,” but quite real ones. Or a reality reminiscent of the near future predicted by many with all the delights of technofascism and cyberpunk. Passing through all these worlds, Ruslan leaves a part of himself in them, in return receiving a new attitude and perception of reality. Will he reach home or will he continue to wander through parallel universes? Who will he become at the end of his journey, a cynical monster in a human body or a real person in the shell of New Educe Sapiens? You can find out all this only by reading the novel “The Guide.”
