A mystical book about a monk’s struggle with dark forces, possessed by the devil himself. Seraphim was born into a Soviet family and was the only child. Before he was tonsured as a monk, he had the name Alexei. His parents were people of the Soviet mentality. Alyosha’s mother was fond of painting and loved music, was a party member and worked in the public service. Tatyana Matveevna’s talents were passed on to her son, which helped him greatly in the future. Alexei's father was a former military man, a reserve general, who was strict in character and a tyrant in the family. He was categorically against his son’s creativity. And after graduating from school he firmly said: Lesha will be a general, he will go through my life’s path. When the boy turned 16, he and his father had a big fight due to paternal pressure.
