Lord Horus, who died many years ago, is resurrected in a cloned body in the unknown universe of Solid Space. He is faced with a choice - to drag out the miserable existence of a mortal or regain his past power. As part of a victorious army of slave-servants, from whom he managed to remove electronic collars, Horus captures province after province, trying to get to the mysterious temples of Khepri, the deity of the local Universe, where the answers lie to the questions that interest him. However, having entered the war, the fallen God soon realizes that he is fighting not only with the enslavers of the Solid Cosmos, but also with the own egoism of the lone Creator, who did not previously know what true friendship and the dream of high love are.
