The novel “Robot” (1973) brought fame and universal recognition to Vishnevsky-Snerg, the plot of which is reminiscent of Frederik Pohl’s classic story “The Tunnel Under the World”: the hero of the novel, deprived of his memory by aliens and turned into a biorobot, nevertheless tries to regain his lost identity. In this novel, the writer for the first time used the concept of superbeings that he formulated, according to which the entities known to us can be successively divided into minerals, plants, animals and intelligence, but not a single creature directly perceives the organism of its superbeing.
