“Fallen to Heaven 1937” is the sixth novel by Yaroslav Pitersky. The author deliberately moved away from the now fashionable action-packed and crime scenarios and tried to once again raise the topic of Stalinist repressions and what happened to our society during the dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. When, in an attempt to solve global world problems, the authorities of the Soviet Union completely forgot about the simple little man who makes up what many politicians and statesmen pathetically call the “Russian people.” By neglecting the basic rights of an ordinary citizen, the rulers of a large country made the most important mistake. No empire, even the most powerful and disciplined, can have a future if its ordinary subjects are humiliated and have no rights. History has shown this. But world history, unfortunately, has an unjust and cruel law. “History teaches that it teaches nothing!” In order to break it and stop observing it, modern Russian society must remember, and most importantly, analyze everything that happened to it in the twentieth century. Therefore, the novel “Fallen Skies” has a continuation. In the second part, “Fall into Heaven 1997,” the author tried to transfer the echoes of the “great tragedy of the thirties” to the modern generation of Russians. But that's another book...
