The Karachay horse is a distinctive mountain breed of the North Caucasus. At a time when everything was subordinated to the repressive “party line,” the Karachay horse was formally included in the Kabardian breed and effectively worked for the reputation of the latter. The path to returning the name of the Karachay horse and the triumph of justice was not quick and easy, and the battle of minds continues to this day.
