In 1918, a group of security officers removes confiscated jewelry from Irkutsk. On the way to Petrograd, Cheka employees are faced with a serious problem: there is a rebellion in the Urals, and it is impossible to move on. There is also nowhere to return - Irkutsk is in the hands of the enemy. The security officers load boxes with jewelry onto carts and rush to take refuge in the taiga, the whites rush after them. Both detachments disappear in a remote, uninhabited area and there are no traces... In 2006, students of the history department find the diary of a White Guard lieutenant. It describes in detail the valuables that were confiscated by the Reds, and the students are fired up with the idea of finding the treasure at any cost. They set up an expedition, go to the taiga... and soon encounter dangerous competitors there. It turns out that they are not the only ones who are looking for treasures... The book was also published under the title “The Taiga Loves Rebels.”
