Young Allen Stuart Konigsberg began writing newspaper feuilletons and humorous miniatures for nightclubs at the age of fifteen, having come up with the creative pseudonym Woody Allen. Without finishing school, he began collaborating with the popular magazines New Yorker, Playboy, Evergreen, where his humoresques and feuilletons were published, and, in addition, composed sketches for humorous television programs. Allen made his film debut in 1965 as an actor and screenwriter, four years later he directed his first film, and in 1977 he already won four Oscar statuettes. Making a film a year, or even two, he considers writing stories to be his true passion. Woody Allen is the author of six humorous books, four of them collections: “Settling Scores” (1971), “Without Feathers” (1975), “Side Effects” (1980) and “Pure Anarchy” (2007). “Without Feathers” - This is an elegant theater of the absurd, where Allen mixes genres and styles, parodying the classics.
