The book consists of seven sections devoted to the problems of SD Dovlatov's poetics. The first section deals with the early stage of the writer's work - the period of the formation of such principles and techniques of Dovlatov's poetics as comic sharpness, pointing, dialogism, the use of poetic speech in prose texts, intertextuality and auto-intertextuality, "polyphonism" of assessments, language play, repetition of elements at different levels of organization text (detail, character, motif, plot). The second and third sections are devoted to the study of the influence of Russian and foreign authors on the work of Dovlatov. Intertextual connections of Dovlatov's prose with the works of A. S. Pushkin, M. Yu. Lermontov, N. V. Gogol, I. S. Turgenev, F. M. Dostoevsky, A. P. Chekhov, representatives of the Silver Age, S. Anderson are traced and E. Hemingway. The fourth section analyzes Dovlatov's roll call with contemporary writers: I. Brodsky, V. Popov, V. Aksenov, A. Gladilin. The fifth section touches upon the peculiarities of Dovlatov's mature prose: the poetics of the comic, the techniques of artistic mythologization, the correlation of fact and fiction. The sixth section is connected with the poetics of neomythologism. The seventh section examines the extent to which authors interpret Dovlatov's poetics when interpreting the writer's prose on stage and on screen.The book is intended for teachers, graduate students, students, and a wide range of readers.
