Krasnopivtsev, who after graduating from Timiryazevka went through more than 50 years of economic planning and credit and financial work, starting from the collective farm to the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Planning Committee, the State Committee for Prices and the Ministry of Finance of the USSR. From 1981 to 1996, he served with the rank of deputy minister.
