John Panteleimon Manoussakis is an Archimandrite of the Patriarchate of Constantinople, Professor of Philosophy at the College of the Holy Cross and Emeritus Fellow of the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy at the Australian Catholic University. Father John was born in Athens (Greece) and educated in the United States (Ph.D. from Boston University college). The author's works are devoted to the philosophy of religion, phenomenology (especially Heidegger and Marion), Plato and the Neoplatonic tradition, as well as patristics. The book "God after Metaphysics. Theological Aesthetics" is devoted to the phenomenological analysis of the Communion of God. The author warns that aesthetics does not mean the science of beauty, but aesthesis—sensory perception. The book focuses on the three main senses with which we can know God - sight, hearing and touch. Original djvu - bogoslovskaya-estetika.Predaniye.ru is the largest Orthodox multimedia archive on the RuNet: lectures, speeches, films, audiobooks and books for reading on electronic devices; freely available for everyone.
