The book presents in a systematic manner a set of issues related to the ballistic resistance of materials and protective textures created for personal and local armor protection against the action of high-speed bullets and pieces. Physical and mathematical models of the actions of high-speed interaction of bullets and pieces with different types of armored barriers are presented. Progressive ideas about the mechanisms behind the armor action of the ballistic impact of bullets are presented, the main methods of ballistic testing are described, and the key principles of designing body armor are formulated.
