The Two Kingdoms is a book of mysticism (nothing to do with the fantasy genre). Stories in which the dead come to life, and lovers and geniuses exist forever, just like the ghosts of opera or poetry are those that cannot leave this world. After all, art is eternal, the author repeats, and this is the only perpetuum mobile in our lives. The book consists of four sections: stories, “Songs of the Eastern Slavs,” fairy tales and a small mystical story “Three Journeys, or the Possibility of the Menippea.”
