Behind every historical fact of significant duration and depth that entailed grandiose changes, there are always the most advanced political mechanisms at that time. The destruction or, to be more precise, the defeat of the Soviet Union was no exception. The format of the book does not allow us to reveal such a mechanism in all details, so the author limited himself to outlining who and how the methods for managing this tragic process, which was primarily of Soviet and American origin, were developed. The book presents all the most valuable materials to date, covering “perestroika” and the years preceding it.
