Evgeniy Petrovich Karnovich (1823–1885) - writer, historian, publisher. He came from Little Russian nobles (his great-grandfather even received the title of count from Emperor Peter III, but none of the Karnovichs ever used this title). The following books were written by E. P. Karnovich: “The remarkable wealth of private individuals in Russia” (1874), “Love and the Crown” (a historical novel from the time of Anna Ioannovna, 1879), “Knights of Malta in Russia” (1880), “Family nicknames and titles" (1886), etc. E.
