The author of the book is A.A. Moroz. describes his life starting from birth (August 5, 1905), everything that he remembers and heard from the stories of close people. In the first part, the events take place from 1901 to 1941, in the second part there is a description of the events of the Second World War of 1941–1945. In the first part, the author recreates a picture of life at the beginning of the 20th century, the way of life of people, children's games and pranks, how education was structured in those years. The events of the First World War, changes in people's lives after the revolution, service in the newly created Red Army, the hungry year of 1921, the death of V.I. are described. Lenin, repressions. The second part begins with a description of the events of June 22, 1941 and ends with the end of the war. The life of a family during the war years is completely recreated. This part of the book is written in the form of a diary, it is based on autobiographical facts, memories, as well as correspondence between A. A. Moroz and his wife, brothers, and relatives, scattered during the war in different parts of the country.
