For the first time in Russian historiography, an attempt has been made to explore the formation and activities of the despotic power of Kim Il Sung - Kim Jong Il in North Korea, to give a true picture of the life of North Korean society in the “era of the two Kims”. The domestic and foreign policies of the “great leader” Kim Il Sung and his son “the great commander” Kim Jong Il are examined, the political system and political institutions of modern North Korea are analyzed. The research is based on unique materials collected by the authors about Kim Jong Il, his father Kim Il Sung and their activities. The book is intended for those interested in international problems.
